Classes are beautifully filmed indoors and some even out in such a way that it gives every class a truly lovely look. Cost: $4.95 a month subscription. Listed are just a few of the loads of classes offered:

  • Dawn DeVries Sokol’s Art Journaling. “Take a leap into the vibrant world of art journaling…an artistic way of documenting your life within the pages of a journal – but instead of using words alone, you’ll be using pens, paint, and collage to express yourself and record moments from your life.” If you are a beginner, or in any stage of art journaling, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend this AWESOME class. It is beautifully videoed, has gorgeous art journal pages and ideas, and a fabulous instructor. One of my favorite classes EVER! I give it 9.9 out of 10 stars. (I signed up for Creativebug for the first time ONLY for this class when the price was $9.95 a month – but I would have paid even more… this is such a great class!!)

Will give it a rating once I have enjoyed it!
  • Lisa Congdon’s Basic Line Drawing. “Learn basic stylized line drawing… build beautiful patterened drawings…” I love, love, loved this class. On top of being beautifully videoed, this a super basic, super fun class. I give this class 9.5 out of 10 stars.
  • Lisa Congdon’s Sketchbook Explorations. Lisa “delves into her personal practice, sharing techniques that she employs in her own mixed media sketchbook… Just let go of the fear and dive in.” I loved Lisa’s Basic Line Drawing course, so of course, I had to take this one. It is fun and different and to top it off I often use what I used in my daily art journaling practice. I give this class 9 out of 10 stars.

Cost: $69. I have taken this class too! Loved it! Lots of FUN and lots of GREAT STENCIL information! 9 out of 10 stars.
  • Transform Your Tape. Make your very own creative tape the fun, easy way. Really had fun in this class! 9.4 out of 10 stars.
  • A Colorful Workshop. A Gelli Plate class full of fun and play… “loaded with techniques for both newbies and veterans. Cost: $69.

Kelly Kilmer. kellykilmer.blogspot.com, classes are listed on the right column of her blog. Her classes are PDF based with areas for comments, questions and art sharing. The value and instruction you get for the money you spend is absolutly incredible. I have purchased all of these classes (I did not purchase every month of the A Prompt A Day classes but I did purchase quite a few). Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned art journaler Kelly always has something to share. As a class instructor, I give Kelly 9.5 out of 10 stars for content, instruction, value and enthusiasm. Cost: $20-$25.

Be warned, her classes are a bit expensive but there are bursting with content and worth all of the cost and more!! As instructor of classes, she one of the top! I give Effy 9.8 out of 10 stars for content, instruction, value and heart!

    • I haven’t kept up with this list like I should. There are so many artists that are “new” to me. I need to have more of a timetable for lurking the web for all the new and wonderful artists!
